LAS VEGAS (AP) — Breece Hall bullied his way into the end zone during the second quarter Sunday night, and it appeared the New York Jets’ touchdown drought was over. But when the penalty flag was thrown across the direct view of quarterback Zach Wilson, the look on his face defined an underlying theme.“It literally feels like every good play we have is getting called back,” Wilson said. “It is so frustrating because you understand how important every single drive is.”The Jets’ drive skid without a touchdown is up to 36 after squandering a 9-3 first-half lead and losing to the Las Vegas Raiders, 16-12.New York dropped into third place in the AFC East, a game behind second-place Buffalo and two back of first-place Miami.Just before Hall’s nullified touchdown, Wilson had a 23-yard touchdown run reversed when a replay official reviewed he stepped out of bounds.Between penalties, miscues and overall poor efficiency, the Jets’ offense continues to haunt them.“Self-inflicted wounds, s...Aaron Rodgers tells NBC he targets a mid-December return from torn Achilles tendon

LAS VEGAS (AP) — New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers said his goal is to return from a torn Achilles tendon by mid-December, NBC’s Melissa Stark reported during the telecast of the Jets’ game at Las Vegas on Sunday night.Rodgers had hinted recently he hopes to return before the end of the season, but this is the most specific he has been. He suffered what was thought to be a season-ending injury in the opener against the Buffalo Bills.“He said, ‘I know it sounds insane, but you do a good surgery, you have a good patient, it makes this possible,’” Stark said on the telecast. However, Rodgers, who was on the sideline, told Stark he “just wasn’t feeling it” about throwing passes during pregame warmups as he has the last several weeks.Rodgers said he has been working on a weight-limiting treadmill, jogging at 50% of his body weight. His goal this week is to increase it to 75%.When asked after the Jets’ 16-12 loss to the Raiders, coach Robert Saleh said, “If the doct...Jacobs rushes for 116 yards as Raiders improve to 2-0 under Pierce, beat Jets 16-12

LAS VEGAS (AP) — On a night when Josh Jacobs finally ended his 100-yard dry spell, he couldn’t quite forget the fumble that gave the New York Jets life late in the game.“I didn’t want to be the reason why we lost,” he said.Jacobs was just thankful the Las Vegas Raiders’ defense came through — twice.Robert Spillane intercepted Zach Wilson’s pass at the Las Vegas 15 with 1:14 left and, after the Raiders punted, Wilson’s heave to the end zone fell incomplete on the final play to preserve the 16-12 victory Sunday night.“There’s not too much difference between a 2-yard gain and a 4-yard gain, but when you get turnovers, you change the complexion of the game,” Spillane said. The Raiders (5-5) improved to 2-0 under interim coach Antonio Pierce, who replaced Josh McDaniels.“I had fun when I got in the locker room,” Pierce said. “When I was out there on the grass, that was stressful.”Jacobs rushed for 116 yards on 27 attempts to end a 14-game streak without a 100-yard ...Luis Robert Jr. is 1st Chicago White Sox since José Abreu to win Silver Slugger: ‘One of the most beautiful awards I’ve received’

MANILA, Philippines (AP) — A Philippine court on Monday ordered the release on bail of a former senator jailed more than six years ago on drug charges she said were fabricated to muzzle her investigation of then-President Rodrigo Duterte’s brutal crackdown on illegal drugs. Two other non-bailable drug cases against her have been dismissed. The European Union Parliament, some American lawmakers and United Nations human rights experts have long demanded the release of Leila de Lima, who was detained as an opposition senator in February 2017 in what they say was political persecution by Duterte and his allies and a major blow to Philippine democracy.Duterte, whose stormy six-year term ended in June last year, insisted on her guilt, saying that witnesses testified that she received payoffs from imprisoned drug lords.Regional Trial Court Judge Gener Gito reversed an earlier decision Monday and granted de Lima’s request for bail while being tried in a final drug case. DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — Thousands of people appear to have fled from Gaza’s largest hospital as Israeli forces and Palestinian militants battle outside its gates, but hundreds of patients, including dozens of babies at risk of dying because of a lack of electricity, remained inside, health officials said Monday. With only intermittent communications, it was difficult to reconcile competing claims from the Israeli military, which said it was providing a safe corridor for people to move south, and Palestinian health officials inside the hospital, who said the compound was surrounded by constant heavy gunfire. The military also said it had placed 300 liters (79 gallons) of fuel near the hospital to help power its generators, but that Hamas militants had prevented staff from reaching it. The Health Ministry in Hamas-ruled Gaza disputed that, and said the fuel would have provided less than an hour of electricity.World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebr...A shooting at a Texas flea market killed a child and wounded 4 other people, police say
